Tilton Passes Temporary Wind and Solar Moratorium

The Village of Tilton on Thursday night voted to pass a temporary six-month moratorium on wind and solar commercial projects within its jurisdiction. The moratorium is temporary and will expire June 1, 2026, and will allow time for Tilton to consider their strategic or “comprehensive” plan for development. Tilton is both a zoned and home-ruled community and does have greater legislative powers than non-home rule cities or villages.
