City Council will meet on Tuesday this week at 6PM. They will vote on vacating alleys, purchase of a tandem truck, a classroom for Friendly Town, and a property swap agreement with Long John Silvers on South Gilbert, among other items. Vermilion County has announced several special meetings for the next two weeks to discuss various budgets for next year. Also, on Monday evening at 5 PM the Property Committee will hear a proposal from Tony Piatt owner of Paws A Day Inn and Suites to sell his property to the County to replace the current Animal Shelter facility on Catlin-Tilton Road.
