County Clerk Robyn Heffern announced that filing for the General Primary Election to be held on March 17, 2026 will begin on Monday, October 27, 2025 at 8:00 a.m. and will conclude at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, November 3, 2025. They would like to remind candidates to have all paperwork notarized and bound prior to filing. If your paperwork is not notarized at the time of filing, you will be asked to step out of line to do so, and you will forfeit your desired time of filing. Our office does have notaries available from 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and we notarize candidates’ paperwork free of charge. We will be accepting filings for offices including Board of Review, County Clerk, County Treasurer, Regional Office of Education, Sheriff, Supervisor of Assessments, County Board Members, and Precinct Committee persons.
