The following is an update to the report of a shooting provided on
7/5/2025.
On July 5th, around 10:00 p.m., Danville Police Officers located a victim in the 400 block of N. Vermilion with a gunshot wound. The 30-year-old Danville man was taken to a hospital in Urbana, where he is currently listed in serious condition. Officers learned the scene of the shooting was on the Northwest side of Churchill Towers in the 100 block of E. Seminary St. Danville Police Department detectives obtained a Vermilion County arrest warrant for 27-year-old Isacc K. Forest of Westchester, IL. Forest is charged with 2 counts of Aggravated Battery/Discharge of a Firearm, 1 count of Possession of a Firearm repeat Offender, and 1 count of Possession of a Firearm/Convicted Felon. After an investigation of the shooting of a Danville man in the area of Churchill Towers on July 5, 2025, evidence provided detectives with probable cause to testify for the arrest warrant. Forest was arrested on the warrant by the United States Marshals Service on Tuesday morning, 7/15/25, around 8 am in the Park Forrest, IL area. The Danville Police reminds all that everyone is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
