The Vermilion County Board will meet Tuesday at 6 PM this week to discuss several energy projects. Discussion and voting action will occur on decommissioning agreements, a building permit, and a road use agreement. The projects involved include the Ridge Farm Renewables LLC, and CVE Ridge Farm 324 Solar. Also, the Board will act to appoint Robyn Heffern as Vermilion County Clerk due to the retirement of Cathy Jenkins. Robyn is currently the Chief Deputy County Clerk The Board vacancy in District 5 will also be filled by appointment The Board will also act on awarding a low bid contract for the replacement of the Highway Department Salt Dome, enter into mutual aid agreements with the Illinois Public Works Mutual
Aid Network and also the Illinois Coroners and Medical Examiners Association. A Special Transportation meeting is set immediately before the County Board meeting.
