Brandun Schweizer has been sworn in as the Illinois 104th District representative. He was selected by the 104th Representative District Committee to fill the vacancy of retiring state Rep. Michael Marron. Marron recently stepped down to become President and CEO of Vermilion Advantage.
Schweizer is a retired United States Marine Corps Master Sergeant. He has been working the last few months as an Environmental Code Inspector position with the City of Danville. Schweizer will fill the reaming year of Marron's term. The Illinois primary election is in March. Schweizer is the Republican Party candidate in the primary.
“I am honored to be the new representative for the 104th District and serve the residents of Champaign and Vermilion counties,” said Schweizer. “Serving our community as state representative will allow me to prioritize real relief for taxpayers, entice businesses to build and grow here, and work to rebuild trust in government."
He and his wife, Amy, reside in Danville with their three children.
