Danville Mayor Rickey Williams remains optimist about the future of the Turk Furniture building, despite the developer dropping the planned development. For months, there have been plans to bring three restaurants to the building. Williams said that the developer is no longer interested in the plan and the building is now for sale.  But he thinks there is still a bright future.

The plan was for the building to be turned into a bakery, a barbecue restaurant, and an Italian restaurant.  The owners of the bakery earlier announced that it will still be opened in Danville, but at a different location. 

Williams says the city is working with local developers who could bring an even better project to the city.

The listing for the Turk Furniture building sets the price at 350 thousand dollars.
