Danville Township sees increase in food and commodity needs

This time of year demands on local Food Pantries is high. Supervisor Mike West says the demand for the Danville Township Food Pantry is at an all-time high.

He said there are no income guidelines on the pantry.  Participants can visit every two weeks.  The food giveaway is on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

The Township also has commodities give away with paper products and personal care products.  The last one of these for the year will be next Tuesday at the Township building at 18 Southgate Drive.

He says the Township will be announcing its 2024 commodities schedule soon.

Danville Township moved to its present location at 18 Southgate several years ago.  West says the building is larger, can offer more services, and is cheaper to operate than the former building in downtown Danville.
