The Hometown Savings Bank is the new name in banking in Danville. The bank has completed its merger with what was known as First Savings Bank in Danville.
The Hometown Savings bank is a regional institution with nine locations. A news release said that all of the current First savings employees will stay in Danville. THSB was founded in Terre Haute in 1869. It changed its name in 2022 from Terre Haute Savings Bank to The Hometown Savings Bank. The bank now will have total assets of approximately $450 million.
