The Golden Nugget Danville Casino had its official Grand Opening today. The casino owners, local leaders and others were there for the ribbon cutting. One of those benefits was immediately apparent as the casino owners presented a one million dollar check to the local boys and Girls Club. Club Director Rob Gifford says the funds will go toward an expansion of the club building.
Jimmy Wilmot, one of the casino owners, said the Grand Opening was delayed until the state gave permission for the casino to have promotions. He said all the beginning work has been done, and now it is just time to have fun at the casino.
